The FACE@APPS committee is thrilled to be able to hold the school disco this year and give the kids a super fun time with their friends. The disco will be held on on Thursday 23 June.
To book your children in for the event follow the steps outlined below. If you have any questions, please email: faceatapps@gmail.com.
Complete a booking form for each child
Completing the booking form ensures we have important information about each child available to volunteers on the night. Two sessions will be held, the early one for junior school (Foundation to grade 2) 5.30pm to 7pm and senior school (grade 3-6) 7.30-9.00pm. Please complete the booking form and make payment (step 2) by Tuesday 21 June.
Pay for tickets
Pay for the number of tickets you require through Trybooking . There are three ticket options:
- entry to the disco including a lolly bag and glowstick $10 per child; or
- entry to the disco including a lolly bag, glowstick and one sausage $12 per child; or
- entry to the disco including a lolly bag, glowstick and two sausages $14 per child.
Please give your child a copy of the ticket to collect their sausage order.
On the night we will have stick-on tattoos and nail polish available for kids to purchase – please send some gold coins with your child if they would like to get a tattoo or have their nails painted.
Volunteer to help out on the night
To ensure this event is safe and can go ahead we need lots of parent volunteers! It’s a great opportunity for parents to see the disco in action. All volunteers must have a current working with children check registered at school front office prior to the event. You can sign-up to help through our online roster. We have a qualified first aid and child safety person on during the night. Please note: no adults, other than volunteers (or school staff) will be allowed to stay at the disco during the sessions, only to drop off and pick-up their child/ren.
Signing in/out
All children must be signed in and out from the event by an adult strictly adhering to session start and finish times so we can be ready for session two on time, and the volunteers can go home by a reasonable hour after pack-up. Sign-in/out tables will be in the hall’s main entrance.
Parents must sign their child out at the sign-in/out tables before leaving the disco. The exits will be manned all night so that children can’t leave the hall unsupervised.
What kids can bring
Kids will need to bring their own water bottle. They won’t be allowed to go outside to use the drinking fountains. However, volunteers can fill up water bottles for children at the hall kitchen.
As much as kids like to take selfies, no devices will be allowed at the event. This is a school event and we need to protect children’s privacy. But it also means devices won’t get lost. If you need to contact the event manager on the night you can call Vicky on 0431 630 548.
Keeping illness free
If your child is sick on the day of the disco please stay home. We are happy to refund your ticket.
The event will be Covidsafe observing hygiene methods, density limits and social distancing for adults.
